Shutter Cafe: A Haven for Photography Lovers

If you’re an aspiring photographer and you live near or in the boundaries of Quezon City, you’ve probably been to Shutter Cafe.

As an Instagrammer, a frustrated photographer, a writer, and a cafe hunter, Shutter Cafe would have been my haven, only I don’t have too much money to spend on coffee every day. Imagine coffee, vintage cameras, a chill place where I can write, Instagram-worthy corners all together!

If you’re from the east, buy a ticket to Cubao from LRT Santolan (Php 16.00), travel through Gateway and Farmer’s, and look for MRT 3. Buy a ticket to GMA Kamuning (Php 13.00), and then ride a tricycle (Php 70.00) to 118 Sct. Dr. Lazcano (Shutter Cafe).

This, however, is experimental. Haha. I did not explore Cubao roads for jeepneys to Kamuning.

I would rate the food 7/10. I ordered tuna pasta (Php 160.00), their bestseller, and I’m telling you, I am not a fan of red-sauce pasta. The cafe mocha (Php 100.00) I ordered , however, is an 8/10.

The cafe is small but enough to occupy around twenty people. However, the camera store beside it is as four times as large. While waiting for your orders, take the time to look at the equipment used for professional photography and videography they sell. (I didn’t take a picture because it’s weird that I’m taking a picture of a camera store. Hek.)

I wasn’t able to ask if they have WiFi though. Sadly, they have no bidet in their comfort room (yep, the search for cafes with bidet begins).
