Once, I met two gardeners watering their plants. One said, “I’ll make sure you get enough sunlight and water. I hope you grow well and bloom beautifully someday.”
On the other hand, the second gardener said, “I know you’ll be a beautiful flower someday. I know because I make sure you get enough sunlight and water.”
Both became beautiful flowers, but surprisingly, one grew thorns on her stem.
Of course, the gardeners might have had different seeds. And surely, nobody considered this phenomenon as a product of evolution, maybe a defense mechanism.
Who knows? This is just a tale, just a tale of two gardeners and their flowers.
