It was difficult to search for cafes in Cardona, so I was lucky to find Kape-Juan Cafe, which opened last December (or was it November) and had their grand opening last week. My bad that I went there an hour early, so I stayed in a nearby cafeteria where I had my lunch. (This was a good decision because their pasta was out of stock that time.) The staff were very kind to let me in at exactly 3:00 p.m., as I was really excited to have my first cup of coffee that day.
How to Go to Kape-Juan Cafe
From any point in Ortigas Avenue Extension, preferably in Tikling, Taytay, Rizal, ride a jeep with a Morong Double Highway signage. Ask the driver to drop you off at Cardona, in front of Alfamart. Just in case, open your Google Maps. The cafe is just along the highway.
What to Expect in Kape-Juan Cafe
Decorated with vines, coffee-related decors, and crocheted sunflowers, this nook coffee shop in Cardona, Rizal, gives off a rustic and cozy ambience. The whole cafe was accentuated with wood furniture and warm lights, which made me relax and thus help me be more productive.
But if I had a favorite spot, it would be the neon “Tara, Kape” signage on their wall, which basically summarized the motto of Kape Tayo, Rizal, my passion project that started last October.
The pictures below show how Kape-Juan Cafe looks like at night. They also had a neon Kape-Juan signage on the wall, but it was not turned on while I took pictures.
What to Eat in Kape-Juan Cafe
I ordered their triple choco bun (PhP 80), brownies (PhP 50), and Mokka (PhP 109). Good thing I already had lunch beforehand since their pasta meals weren’t available. They served their triple choco bun warm, so I was able to enjoy it. I was really careful since I was wearing a white sando and the bun was oozing with chocolate filling—yum!
The picture above is one of their coffee drinks, mokka, which satisfied both my sweet tooth and my coffee-loving tongue.
